Make sense of your budget pacing

Compare reported spending with your plan, understand projections and focus on a specific breakdown.

A budget tells you what you plan to spend. Pacing helps you understand how reported spending compares with that plan across the period.

Choose the right period

The Budget page lets you choose an entire month or a custom date range. Check the selected period and reporting filters before reviewing the figures.

Each request has its own start date, end date and budget. When requests have different durations, their full-period projections are calculated individually.

Compare the plan with the reports

Use the Budget target, Actual spend and Remaining budget cards for the overall picture. Spending by date shows the daily pattern, while Budget vs actual compares cumulative reported spending with the planned budget.

Reports determine the actual spending values. No matching reports means there is no reported spending for that selection; it does not confirm whether an advertising platform has spent money outside those reports.

Focus on a breakdown

When several breakdown groups are available, select one to focus the charts and budget request table below it. Select Total to return to the complete selection.

If the selected breakdown contains only one group, the page uses a single progress bar.

Understand the daily amount

Daily budget to Spend divides the remaining budget by the remaining days. It is an average amount needed to reach the planned spending total over the remaining period.

Projected period-end uses average spending through the latest matching reported date to estimate the request's full-period spending. A late report can change both the recorded spending and the projection.

Keep context with the request

Remarks and Settings tags help explain the purpose of a request. Use them to retain context alongside the amount and duration, then review the request against the relevant reports.
